About Cadence

We built Cadence because GLP-1 prescribing deserved better infrastructure.

Prescribers are doing something genuinely important — giving patients access to effective weight management medication and the support to stay on it. But the infrastructure to do that well didn't exist. Prescribers were treating without visibility. Patients were dropping out without anyone knowing. We built Cadence to fix that.

What we believe

1.

Pharmacies are the right place to run GLP-1 services. They have the clinical relationships, the trust, and the proximity. They just needed the tools.

2.

Patient data should work for patients and prescribers — not sit in a database doing nothing. Proper outcome tracking makes services better and justifies premium pricing.

3.

Clinical support should be structured, not ad hoc. GLP-1 treatment follows a predictable pharmacokinetic arc. A well-designed programme should reflect that.

4.

Interoperability matters. We use NHS coding standards (SNOMED-CT, dm+d) and are building toward NHS Login and GP Connect integration — because clinical data shouldn't be siloed.

Founded by a clinician, not a consultant.

Bradley Phelps, Founder of Cadence Health

Cadence was founded by Bradley Phelps, a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with training in cognitive behavioural therapy. Before building Cadence, Bradley led product at Thalamos — whose eMHA platform digitises Mental Health Act processes across NHS trusts — and at Healios, one of the UK's leading NHS-contracted digital mental health providers. That experience showed him first-hand how structured digital programmes improve clinical outcomes at scale.

That combination of clinical training and product experience is why Cadence works differently. The platform is designed around how patients actually experience GLP-1 treatment — the pharmacokinetic cycle, the side effect peaks, the psychological adjustment — not how clinicians assume they do. Patient adherence is a behavioural problem, not just a clinical one.

The MHRA Technical File, clinical safety management (DCB0129/DCB0160), and hazard log are maintained in-house by someone with clinical training — not outsourced to a regulatory consultancy.
